In addition to the weekly meetings I have with my mentor, I had an additional one today to go over her position here at ETC. Since I work closely with her everyday, I had a pretty general idea of what she does. Seeing it first-hand made me more interested in finding out the specifics of her job. As a project specialist, she is extremely organized and is not afraid to approach people about the parts of a project they are completing and being sure deadlines are met in a timely manner. She really has to have a grasp on every detail of what first starts off as the creative brief. If there's something she's not clear on, she makes sure to meet with the person or department who submitted the brief and solidify their ideas before executing her project plan. Being someone who is also organized about projects I carry out, I can definitely see myself holding a position similar to this one. I know my mentor will be a great resource for me to look to.
